Smokey, heat in a crunchy chip. These are excellent chips, really worth finding, eating and enjoying. There is

a nice leading flavor of sweetness followed by a lingering warmth.

These chips are as good as you can find if you are looking for a nice combination of sweetness, crunch, smoke and a tad of sweat.

Death Valley Chipotle potato chips. hmmmmmm.

McCormick- Chipotle Chile Pepper

McCormick’s Chipotle Chile Pepper is one of my favorite spices. This outstanding “shake” comes from McCormick’s Gourmet Collection. The flavors are truly smokey with a middling amount of heat – dump on copious amounts for a nice glow!

I find the spice truly compliments dishes with cheese, sweet potatoes, sausage and beans. It is exceptionally nice when added to my wife’s 7 layer “Mexican” bean dip.

The only downside this spice has is in its packaging… there’s no shaker lid under the cap. So… be careful when applying the spice as a shake to your food or you may get more heat than you bargained for!

Boulder Canyon- Jalapeño Cheddar Chips

These are outstanding!

The flavors are balanced- there’s ample cheddar, jalapeños and potato tastes. These chips have the right amount of crunch (I guess that means there’s a good grease factor.)

If there is a down-side, it is that the bags are too small! I know it says that there are about 5 servings per bag; but I’m sure they have counted wrong. There can’t possibly be more than two servings in these bags!

The bottom line is: if you are the mood for an exceptional snack chip with a bit of heat (from the jalapeños) these are winners!
