The box describes this treat as “sweetened, unsulfered chile mango pieces drenched in rich, dark chocolate and sprinkled with a spritely blend of aromatic spices.” That about says it all. This is one of the most interesting flavor profiles I’ve had in a long time. It reminds me of Xocolatl, but fruitier and spicier. There’s a saltiness at first, followed quickly by the sweetness of the mango, the bitterness of the chocolate, and then the spices. The chocolate on the outside is crisp and the mango is pleasantly chewy. The spice stays with you for awhile which is nice. In all, there’s a pretty great burst that erupts in your mouth immediately: salty, fruity, sweet, bitter, and spicy. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything quite like it, but I want more. Unfortunately, Trader Joe’s is very far from me. Hint hint, Trader Joe’s!
I think this is a great product. The flavors really work. Unfortunately Trader joe’s is discontinuing this item. If you ove it, let Trader Joe’s know how you feel and maybe they will bring it back

I hear ya ! I was just discussing this product last night at the “round table” during a family dinner! My daughter first bought this for me when the new Trader Joe’s opened in Virginia Beach a couple of months ago. INCREDIBLE! i then went back and bought 4 more, not taking all thinking I could always get more. I WAS WRONG ! I went back, NONE. I’ve been checking ever since. Well folks, we’re just going to have to work on Trader Joe’s and get this back on the shelves.

I’m so dissappointed, just found out yesterday from a stock guy at TJ’s in Manhattan Beach. He said they weren’t big sellers now everyone is crying… lol. I wrote through the TJ’s web-site. My fingers are crossed!
