Kettle Spicy Thai Chips

Usually, I find Kettle produces delicious quality chips. These chips are one of the exceptions. The slogan on the front of the bag proclaims “ginger with ATTITUDE“. Ginger? Kinda. Attitude? Only if that attitude is that of a surly old man who complains everything is too spicy. The chips are slightly sweet with a bitter aftertaste. The spice lets itself be known as well, by adding to the odd flavor of these chips. Overall, I was very unhappy with these chips. Not only did I not like the flavor, but they were terrible enough to toss the entire bag in the trash. The only positive things about these chips? No trans fats, MSG or artificial flavors. Avoid at all costs!

these chips are good. nice light ginger taste. they may not be for everyone. but I liked them.
I LOVED them. One of my favorite flavors ever.

This is one of the more rare flavors in my area. Easily my favorite potatochip at the moment… I actually have a mild reaction to ginger which makes my head spin a little, but I try to forget that fact every time I find a bag of these at my healthfood store.
Admin, you got a bad bag. The consistency of these chips is dreadful. I have bought 2 bags now that had no seasoning, just the honey or lime flavor like you are describing as the sweet taste. Like you said, just throw them out, they are that bad. A few other times they were barely seasoned. When you get a real bag of them, properly seasoned, they are the BEST.
